hi ;D im RLY unhandy with computers and stuff. I have rly NO idea why my computer is so damn slow. For instance: when i click maptravel it sometime takes 4 minutes untill im fully loaded into that city :S can someone pls tell me what to do? someone ingame said i need to load the game in my computer or something like that, but he never came online again and dont know how to do this. Is this slowtravel because of internet? because of my computer? or both? and can it be helped without buying new thingS?

Did you JUST install guild wars? If you've installed it, it takes time to load certain maps you've never traveled to before.
Otherwise, common problems could be: Bad graphics card, low on RAM/memory, or like you've stated a bad internet connection.

Okay, right click on a shortcut to GW.exe
Click properties. It should say something like "C:\Program Files\Guild Wars\Gw.exe"
Beside the ", put a space, and write -image
So it should look like this:
"C:\Program Files\Guild Wars\Gw.exe" -image
Then, press okay, double click the icon, and wait for the maps to load. Enjoy.

every time you travel to a new area it has to download the map. ocne you have it downloaded though it doesnt need to load again, so basically the first time you go somewhere itll take awhile

Yes -image will fix your problem (i do this after every new build)... just make sure you create a 2ND shortcut for it (1 shortcut to play and 1 shortcut to "fix" your gw.dat) because -image wont start the game (it just "fixes" the gw.dat file).

If you had the "-image" command properly affixed to the shortcut than it should definitely take more than 10 minutes. It takes a good 6 hours on DSL if you have a FULL gw.dat file (meaning you have at least visited Every Area in Guild Wars and it's expansions).
